CROWDFUNDING SYSTEMS: evaluation and government regulation in the conditions of reengineering
The key functions of mediators, i.e. moderators of a crowdfunding platform, are: ڰ checking information about the authors of crowdfunding projects, evaluating the viability of projects; ڰ providing recommendations to improve the proposed crowdfunding projects; ڰ acceptance or refusal to place a crowdfunding project on their platform; ڰ organization of cooperation with payment systems. At these stages, the main function of contributors is only to register them on crowdfunding platforms, but if necessary, they can do this in the following stages. The fourth stage of the model is the launch of a crowdfunding campaign. This stage usually lasts 30 to 120 days. At this stage, recipients actively promote and advertise the project in the media, social networks, etc., constantly contact existing contributors and attract potential contributors via email and other marketing tools, update information about the project, collect feedback, upgrade products or services that are the results of the project, and report. Contributors take an active part in the fourth stage, because they are the ones who transfer funds to the project, generate ideas and suggestions for improving the products, services or events that are the results of the project, and provide information support for the project using their own social networks and other methods. Moderators of the crowdfunding platform provide information support and consulting to recipients on ways to improve the project's campaign and attract more contributors. The fifth stage can be divided into two parts: ڰ if the crowdfunding project is successfully implemented and it reaches the financial goal set at the first stage, the crowdfunding project is implemented; ڰ if the project does not achieve this goal, it is closed, and the collected funds are returned to the contributors. At this 5th stage, recipients receive their accumulated funds, implement the crowdfunding project (for example, create a product, provide services, implement events, and other things that were the goal of the project), provide information to contributors about the results of the crowdfunding project, and reward them for their financial contributions. 104
