CROWDFUNDING SYSTEMS: evaluation and government regulation in the conditions of reengineering
Any crowdfunding platform requires a lot of time from its founders, a sufficient number of specialists, constant improvement, and active cooperation with media and banking institutions. 2.3. The current state of crowdfunding in Ukraine and its role in the reengineering development In Ukraine, crowdsourcing and crowdfunding are also used, but to a much lesser extent and in much smaller volumes. The difference between Ukrainian crowdfunding and European or American crowdfunding is that both cultural projects and business projects are supported abroad; in Ukraine, however, only cultural or social projects are funded. This is primarily due to insufficient state funding for this type of project. That is why stakeholders decide to help other actors who are ready to change the cultural environment in Ukraine for the better. In addition to cultural projects, projects related to social innovation, renewable energy, and venture philanthropy are successful from the position of Ukrainian crowdfunding. Another feature of crowdfunding in Ukraine is that promising business ideas of Ukrainian entrepreneurs are registered on global crowdfunding platforms, and not on Ukrainian ones. Thus, the project of the Lviv team for the development of universal watches Lametric collected 258 thousand dollars on Kickstarter, which is one of the key crowdfunding platforms in the world. Another project of the Ukrainian team — a device for remote monitoring of pets Petcube — collected 251 thousand dollars. The third project of Ukrainians in terms of contributions is the development of a flash for smartphones iBlazr, which accumulated 56 thousand dollars. In Ukraine, the most successful and perhaps the only full-fledged crowdfunding platform is biggggidea.com. From the beginning of its foundation, namely since 2009, the site has accumulated more than 6 million hryvnias and successfully implemented more than 100 projects. For example, in Lviv, there are a large number of local initiatives that use crowdsourcing and crowdfunding tools in their activities. Among them are the following projects: ڰ «Iota» (Ukr. « Ƀɨɬɚ »), engaged in the revival of Pidzamche — the historical district of Lviv; ڰ «Save Mercury» (Ukr. « ȼɪɹɬɭɜɚɬɢ Ɇɟɪɤɭɪɿɹ »), an initiative to restore the Mercury sculpture in Lviv; 75
