80 UGCC Pastoral Council and General Assembly’s first Meeting UGCC Pastoral Counc i l and General Assembly ’ s f i rst Meet ing In September 2019 the Working Group of the Vibrant Parish Program officially ended its man- date after presenting its final report to the Synod of Bishops in Rome. A new structure — Pasto - ral Council — was called to continue the legacy of its predecessor in close collaboration with the UGCC Patriarchal Curia. The UGCC Inter-eparchial Pastoral Council is a permanent body respon- sible for prioritizing and coordinating the pastoral initiatives of the UGCC Patriarchal Curia. From December 2 to Dec. 6, 2019,  the first meeting of the General Assembly of the Pastoral Council of the UGCC took place in Lviv. A total of 35 advisers to the Head of the UGCC from all over the world came together for the first time to develop pastoral guidelines in collaboration with the Patriarchal Curia. In addition to advisers from each eparchy/exarchate, the Pastoral Council consists of the structures of the Patriarchal Curia responsible for UGCC pastoral ministry: Evangelization Council Patriarchal Catechetical Commission Patriarchal Liturgical Commission Patriarchal Commission on clergy Patriarchal Commission on religious Department of social services Pastoral Migration Department Military Chaplaincy Department Commission on Catholic Education Commission on Family Commission on Youth Commission on Laity Pastoral Health Care Commission Commission "For a sober way of life" "Justice and Peace" Commission Bureau of the Environmental issues Bureau on modern religious movements
