81 The main areas of responsibilities of the Pastoral Council include: Coordination and unification of the pastoral activities of the Commissions and De- partments of the Patriarchal Curia; Analysis of the implementation of the pastoral programs on the eparchial level; Preparation of a strategic plan in the area of pastoral activities of the Church for the approval of the Head of the Church and the UGCC Synod of Bishops; Coordination of permanent communication between the Commissions and Departments of the Patriarchal Curia and UGCC eparchies/exarchates; Preparation of the UGCC Pastoral planning and consultation of UGCC eparchies in de- veloping their pastoral plans; Implementation of the decisions of the Synod of Bishops of UGCC pastoral programs and priorities of the Head of the Church. Planned activities of the Pastoral Council: Once a year a General Assembly meeting of the Curia Departments with eparchial advis- ers in Ukraine to introduce new pastoral programs, implement the Synod’s annual decisions and provide training, moni- tor the efficiency and exchange of experiences; Two planning meetings per year for the members of the Pasto- ral Council to develop programs and plan implementation, several smaller group meetings to develop materials; Publication of programs and informational materials for each year; Helping to coordinate the UGCC VII session of the Patriarchal Sob- or on migration and unity of the Church; Monitor local implementation through a system of eparchial rep- resentatives and regional coordinators.
